Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Mental Math Master collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. We built the app so you can play as a guest with nothing leaving your device — the sections below cover what changes once you choose to sign in.

01 Information we collect

Guest play

You can use Mental Math Master without creating an account. In guest mode, the app generates a random identifier on your device and stores your progress, scores, and settings locally in the app's own storage. This information is never sent to our servers.

Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google so we can create your account and sync your progress across devices. We do not receive your Google password.

Gameplay and progress data

For signed-in accounts, we store the data needed to save your progress: level completion and star ratings, streaks, unlocked achievements, and your in-app currency balances (coins, gems, points, stars) along with the transaction history behind them.

Purchase information

In-app purchases (coin/gem packs and any premium subscription) are handled by Google Play Billing and processed on our behalf by RevenueCat. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made, the product purchased, and your subscription status — we do not receive or store your card number or other payment credentials.

Automatically collected information

Like any app that talks to a server, requests to our backend (Supabase) pass through standard infrastructure logs (e.g. IP address, timestamps) used for security and abuse prevention. We do not currently use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

04 Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers listed above, only as needed to operate the app, and where required by law.

05 Children's privacy

Mental Math Master is designed to be enjoyed by players of all ages, including children practicing math skills. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

06 Data security

Your data is protected by row-level access rules on our database, meaning your account data is only readable by your own account, and by industry-standard encryption in transit between the app and our servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using commercially reasonable means.

07 Retention & deletion

Guest progress stays on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage. Signed-in account data is retained for as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us using the details below and we will process the request.

Note: because purchase records are kept as an immutable ledger for accounting and fraud-prevention purposes, transaction history tied to real-money purchases may be retained in de-identified form after an account deletion request.

09 Changes to this policy

As we add new features to the app, we may update this policy to reflect them. We will update the effective date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
