ShishuAI: AI Baby Care App for New Parents

I remember the first week I brought my daughter home. Between the sleepless nights and constant diaper changes, all I could think about was whether I was doing things right. New parents face endless questions: Is she eating enough? Am I tracking her growth properly? It hit me; there has to be an easier way to manage baby care.
The Problem
That sense of overwhelming uncertainty is what led me to create ShishuAI. New parents have a lot on their plates, and there's no definitive guide for every stage of their child's early life. So, I wanted to build an app that would simplify baby care by combining AI technology with essential tracking tools. From growth charts to vaccination schedules, my goal was to ensure that parents could find answers quickly and easily.
The Build / Story
Building ShishuAI was both thrilling and challenging. I started by diving into Flutter and AI libraries to create a user-friendly interface and powerful backend. I wanted parents to feel at ease using the app, which meant I spent countless nights coding while sipping on cold coffee. One major hurdle came when integrating WHO growth chart algorithms. The data sets were extensive, and I had to clean and validate them to ensure accuracy.
I must admit, there were times when I felt overwhelmed. I wondered if I was just adding to the noise in a cluttered app market. But the feedback I received from my friends who were also new parents kept me going. They wanted something that could help ease their worries about their babies’ growth and health. That was my motivation to stay the course, despite the struggles.
